STEM Education Program
The overall goal of JEDC's education programs in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) is to stimulate students' interest in and excitement about these fields, thereby increasing the pool of talented and skilled students who pursue STEM careers. The SpringBoard team works with Alaskan school districts as well as individual schools and teachers to provide tools and supports needed to effectively and engagingly teach K-12 math and science in Alaska.
This is all made possible by funding from the U.S. Dept. of Defense, where top leadership realizes the importance of investing in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math for K-12 students and inspiring the next generation of scientists, engineers and problem solvers.
